Founded in 1969 in Maranello (Modena), Italy, Ferrari & Cigarini has specialised for over five decades in the design and manufacturing of machinery and complete plant solutions for the tile manufacturing industry.

Since 1988, the company has delivered breakthrough innovations in cutting technology—including machines for single-fired, double-fired, and porcelain stoneware tiles. This dedication to progress has enabled Ferrari & Cigarini to develop systems for creating mosaics, strips, skirting tiles, bull-nose profiles, stair treads, and more.

Present

Ferrari & Cigarini’s product range now spans multiple sectors. They engineer:

  • High-performance cutting and profiling systems
  • Robotised feeding, unpacking, and palletising stations for automated lines in cutting, honing, grinding, and lapping
  • Solutions to repurpose waste materials into strip tiles, decorative in-fills, plinths, frames, and special profiles, reinforcing both efficiency and sustainability
  • Equipment for building materials, including ventilated façade components (hollow tiles, strips,corner pieces)
  • Advanced systems for the glass industry, such as shuttle systems and robots for feeding cutting benches and workstations
Ferrari & Cigarini remains the owner of the international patent for the “unwrap” system, an innovation critical to modern tile processing automation.
